Negotiations

Negotiations started on March 29th with the exchange of proposals with the hospital.

The following dates have been set for negotiations:

Thursday April 21st
Tuesday April 26th
Wednesday May 25th

As of  Wednesday May 25th, negotiations were concluded and we are now going to Conciliation.  This means a mediator comes in and tries to negotiate outstanding items between the union and hospital. The Conciliation date has been set for Tuesday August 23rd.  If not resolved at this point then the negotiations will go into Arbitration at a later date.

We are now moving onto Arbitration at a date to be announced. Arbitration is the final step to settling the collective agreement. An Arbitrator will hear both sides and settle on the top few issues in dispute.
