Bargaining Unit

London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is the largest employer in London, Ontario. LHSC is one of Canada’s largest acute-care teaching hospitals, dedicated to providing excellence in patient care, teaching and research. Physicians, residents and staff number nearly 15,000 and, together, provided care for more than one million patients in 2010. Our members are proud to be a part of this team.

COPE Local 468 represents all office and clerical employees at the LHSC, at Victoria Campus. We have been represented by COPE and its predecessor unions since the early 1970’s. This group of union members was the founding bargaining unit for COPE Local 468.

COPE members at LHSC pride themselves on their activism and dedication to the principles of trade unionism. Many members of this group have pursued labour education to better serve the members of COPE Local 468.
